Design and Build

The laptop uses an aluminum body and keeps a clean, understated style. The chassis is described as solid in daily handling, with minimal flex and no obvious assembly gaps. The ErgoLift hinge slightly raises the base for a more comfortable typing angle and improved airflow. With its thin profile and low weight, it is easy to carry in a small bag.

Display and Multimedia

The IPS panel has Full HD resolution and a matte finish that helps reduce reflections. Viewing angles and detail are good for everyday work. The source review notes around 95% sRGB coverage, while brightness and contrast are mid-range (up to about 300 cd/m2 and 700:1). It also reports panel flicker, which may matter for sensitive users. Speakers are clear enough for routine use, but limited in bass depth.

Keyboard and Touchpad

The backlit keyboard is comfortable for regular typing, with clear feedback and quiet key action. The touchpad is responsive and supports useful extras, including NumberPad activation and quick gesture shortcuts. For mobile office workflows, input quality is one of the stronger points of this model.

Performance and Connectivity

Core i7-1065G7 and Intel Iris Plus Graphics are suitable for productivity, browsing, media playback, and light content work. The 8 GB DDR4 memory and SSD storage help maintain smooth multitasking in common workloads. Port selection is modern rather than extensive: two Thunderbolt 3 Type-C ports, HDMI, USB 3.2, and microSD. Traditional 3.5 mm audio and RJ-45 Ethernet require adapters.

Battery Life

Battery capacity is 67 Wh. In the source test, runtime reached about 13.5 hours in web use with Wi-Fi and up to 16 hours for 1080p video playback, with around 3 hours under maximum load. These are strong results for travel and a full workday in balanced usage.

Verdict

ASUS ZenBook 13 UX325JA is a practical ultraportable for users who value low weight, solid build quality, and long battery life. Its main strengths are mobility, modern connectivity, and comfortable daily input devices. The main compromise is reliance on adapters for some legacy connections, plus only moderate multimedia depth from the built-in speakers.
