Editor note: This review is an original English adaptation prepared by Notebook Center from the Notebook-Center.ru source material.
Overview
The Acer Predator Triton 500 SE is a high-end 16-inch laptop built for users who need strong gaming power and workstation-level headroom in one machine. In this configuration, it combines an Intel Core i9-11900H processor, GeForce RTX 3080 graphics, 64 GB RAM, and a 2 TB SSD. The 16:10 display format and large storage also make it practical for content-heavy workflows, not only games.

Design and Build
The chassis uses aluminum and keeps a restrained silver look, so it fits both gaming and office settings better than many aggressive gaming models. The lid stays relatively clean from fingerprints, and the hinges hold the screen position firmly. At 2.45 kg, it is still a heavy machine for frequent travel.
Display, Audio, and Webcam
The 16-inch 2560x1600 matte panel has a 16:10 aspect ratio and 165 Hz refresh rate, giving smooth motion for games and everyday navigation. Reported peak brightness reaches 500 nits, which helps in bright rooms. Speakers are usable for media, but bass is limited. The 720p webcam is serviceable for calls but not a strong point for image quality.
Keyboard and Input
The keyboard uses an island layout with large keys and 3-zone RGB backlighting controlled through PredatorSense. Typing feedback is soft and consistent, and the deck remains stable under pressure. The touchpad is smooth and accurate, with a fingerprint reader integrated in the top-left area.
Performance and Gaming
This configuration targets demanding workloads: games, heavy multitasking, and creator software. The Core i9-11900H and RTX 3080 are supported by 64 GB RAM and a 2 TB SSD, so there is both compute headroom and storage space. In the source tests at QHD, listed game results include roughly 85 fps in Battlefield 2042, 90 fps in Call of Duty Vanguard, 120 fps in Guardians of the Galaxy, 300 fps in FIFA 22, and 100 fps in Resident Evil Village.
Ports, Connectivity, and Battery
Connectivity is broad for a performance laptop: dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, dual USB 3.1 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, SD card reader, and a combined audio jack. Wireless support includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. The 99 Wh battery is large; source figures indicate about 8.5 hours for 1080p streaming and around 10 hours for web browsing, while heavy gaming can reduce runtime to about 1.5 hours.
Verdict
The Predator Triton 500 SE is positioned as a premium, expensive option for buyers who want top-tier gaming hardware without a visually loud design. Its key strengths are high performance, a sharp 16:10 display, generous memory and storage, and strong port selection. The main compromises are price, weight, and only basic webcam and speaker depth.
